The difference between dumbbell curls and barbell curls! Who is better?

The biceps connect the forearm and the upper arm to drive the elbow joint flexion and extension! As long as there is a flexion and extension of the arm, it will be exercised

The exercise of biceps is just about two words: curls!

Many people will have such a question during training!

Since it is a curl, what is the difference between dumbbells and barbells? Should I curl with dumbbells or barbells?

Let's take a look from different angles!

  Advantages of barbells!

  1. It's just weight. Barbells can easily obtain large weights, which is also one of the biggest advantages of barbells.

  2. The barbell is more stable. Everyone knows that the most taboo thing during exercise is that the body posture is incorrect, avoid tilting and shaking. The body will inevitably shake when exercised, but if you use a barbell, the whole body will be relatively stable.

  3. From the perspective of stress, using a barbell can better exercise the arm with less strength (usually the left arm has weak strength). Using a barbell can solve this problem well and promote the strength enhancement of the left hand.

  Advantages of dumbbells

  1. The dumbbell has a larger range of motion, which can fully contract the biceps, so as to achieve a completely stimulating effect!

  2. More flexible: you can train with one hand, change the grip method, and change the angle more!

In general, barbells and dumbbells have their own advantages and cannot be replaced. What we need to do is to make full use of them and provide services to our muscles in combination with their respective advantages~!
