Protecting the lumbar spine: How to move heavy objects correctly!
What do you do when you see a bag of banknotes on the ground? I believe that most people are as excited as I think, and bent down and picked it up quickly, but they didn't expect that the banknotes were heavy, and accidentally flashed...
As mentioned above, many people have experience in picking up items from the ground (moving heavy objects) in daily life, moving boxes, changing buckets of water, helping friends move houses, etc. But have you really paid attention to it? If the posture is not appropriate, it may cause harm to your lumbar spine in the long run!
Wrong posture:
This is the posture that most people in life will use to carry heavy objects, which is very dangerous! If you have always adopted this posture of carrying heavy objects, your lumbar spine is in a very easy state of injury!
How to carry heavy objects correctly?
Emotion comes from life and serves life!
We train in sports fields and gyms, improve physical fitness, increase muscles, and master the correct human movement modes to serve our lives safely and conveniently!
Correct weight-moving posture: use squats, hip hinges (deadlifts), and single-leg squat to pick up weights, maintain neutral and stable spine during movements (not bent over)
I. Correct posture: squat, lower the center of gravity of the body, get close to the heavy objects, tighten the core, and straighten the waist and back as much as possible
2. Rely on the strength of the legs to carry heavy objects, not on the waist
3. When moving heavy objects encounter a change of direction, do not rely on the twist of the waist to change direction! Rely on the movement of footsteps to complete the change of direction!
