16 principles for shoulder exercise, perfect deltoid muscle training

When standing, you can generate some thrust through the hips and knees. This action is called standing shoulder push. Usually, heavier weight can be used and done more times than sitting position.

  Sitting push is considered to be a better move to isolate the target muscles because it is more difficult to borrow force through the lower body, but you will sacrifice some weight, some times, or both.
